Pastor Stanley Byrd, Sr.
Stanley Byrd, Sr. is a native of Clayton, NC and recently returned home after 35 years of serving in the military, federal government and ministry. For the past 10 years, he served as the 6th pastor of the historic Third Baptist Church of Washington DC, where he continued a legacy of kingdom service for a new generation of kingdom believers. His return to the Raleigh, NC metro area is to spend time with family and to fulfill the call from God to launch Kingdom Harvest Church; a vibrant, life hanging and life giving church committed to “Growing Healthy People to Grow God’s Kingdom Together.”
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, from the University of Maryland, Master of Science in Administration, from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard Universities School of Divinity. His honors include Dean’s List, Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior college, President, Student Governance Board, a Benjamin E. Mays Scholarship Recipient, and East Central Civic Association’s Father of the Year.
Stanley has worked with both the public and private sector in a variety of areas including leadership development, motivation, employee communications, organizational transformation, marketing, and public relations for non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses.
He and his wife, Maime have been married for over 25 years and are the proud parents of three children and two grandchildren.
First Lady Maime Byrd
Mrs. Mamie W. Byrd, affectionately known as Lady Byrd, is a native of Washington, DC where she attended District of Columbia public schools. Th oldest of nine siblings, she was saved and matured in Christ at the Paramount Baptist Church, Washington, DC.
Maime earned a B.SC. in Medical Dietetics from Howard University, College of Allied Health Sciences and a M. ED. from Penn State University.
Currently, Mamie is a Dietetic Consultant for several institutions in North Carolina and Washington DC. Her career has included employment at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as a state regulator/surveyor, 15 years at Howard University as a Project Director and as a Clinical Dietetic Instructor, in the College of Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Department of Nutritional Sciences.
For 20+ years she has served as Founder/CEO of a Nutritional Consulting firm, servicing a broad range of clientele including renal clinics, correctional facilities, shelters, corporations and community residential facilities. Maime also served as chaplain for the Howard University Allied Health Alumni Association. Her research interests include geriatric nutrition, health promotion and wellness, obesity and renal nutrition, as well as student leadership development.
As a vivid wordshipper of the living God, Maime demonstrates her deep love for Jesus by serving Him in the community and at Kingdom Harvest Church. Her sincere love and faith in God is reflected by her favorite scripture Ephesians 3:20.
Maime and Stanley have thrived in marriage since August 28, 1982. They are the parents of three children and two grandchildren.
